As part of the first edition of the ‘’Cinema Talks" program which organized by the Mersin Film Office, famous filmmaker Tayfun Pirselimoğlu, known for his unique approach to filmmaking and his internationally acclaimed works, visited Mersin for location scouting within the scope of this event.
The talks held in collaboration with Kültürhane (House of Culture) which titled "Tayfun Pirselimoğlu’s Cinema and Contemporary Turkish Cinema" attracted both cinema enthusiasts and film students.
Moderated by Hakan Erkılıç, Pirselimoğlu discussed his journey from writing to filmmaking, the evolution of the film industry over the years, the current state of cinema, innovations within the industry, and the impact of technological advancements on audience behavior. He also highlighted how his literary background has influenced his directing and offered insights into what film students can expect in their careers.
The event featured an interactive session where young participants had the opportunity to ask questions about the current film industry and the world of cinema. Attendees found the event to be highly inspiring.
